William Fatch

William Sheldon Bill Fatch 64 of Naples Florida formerly of Crown Point Indiana passed away unexpectedly on June 9 2008. Bill was a 1961 graduate of Crown Point High School and earned bachelors and masters degrees in music from Ball State University. A U.S. Navy veteran Bill was a graduate and faculty member of the Navy School of Music. A former Assistant Professor of Music at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico he was a devoted and popular music teacher in the Naples public school system for 26 years and had retired just last week at the end of the school year. For a number of years he played French horn in the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and was more recently a member of the Naples Community Orchestra. He played a variety of instruments in a number of smaller Naples area musical groups. He was an avid tennis player and a Corvette enthusiast who loved life his relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice in 2006 he is survived by his step-daughter Pamela (Francis) Pischner of Naples step-sons Ed Lacey of Ft. Lauderdale Florida and George (Debbie) Lacey of Venice Florida and step-granddaughters Natalee Lacee Tara and Samantha. He is also survived by his sister Peggy (Tim) Sendak of Crown Point Indiana sisters-in-law Caroline Pennington and Eileen Fanello of Ohio brother-in-law Stephen Dibbert of Wildwood Missouri nieces Carrie Sendak of McKinleyville California Rachel Dibbert of Ballwin Missouri and Renee Friend of Mansfield Ohio nephews Robert Sendak of Seattle Washington and David (Kathy) Dibbert of Hazelwood Missouri. Very special mention to Bills wonderful and loving companion Cathy Frecker who shared his immense love of music and adventure. Bill was also preceded in death by his parents William and Phyllis Fatch of Crown Point and sister Susan Dibbert of Wildwood Missouri. The family received friends on Friday June 13 2008 at Fuller Funeral Home in Naples where a funeral service was held. Donations in his memory may be made to the Crown Point Community Foundation P.O.
